We, at Fynbos Farm Animal Sanctuary, have the privilege of homing 2 zebra species. We have the Burchell’s zebra and we have the Quagga. Our Quagga come from a breeding programme where the intention is to reintroduce this extinct sub species. It is only when you see the two sub species side by side, that you realise the significant differences. The yellow colouring, the lack of stripes especially on the legs, belly and hindquarter.
